CrossFit Level 1 certification
Motivation & Passion
I truly believe that CrossFit is for every single person. For me, personally, it has balanced me out and made me a more whole human being. I used to allow fitness and food to control most aspects of my life. That worked until it (quickly) became mundane, boring, and lonely. Starting CrossFit made me switch from being concerned about getting a "summer body" to seeing how much weight this body can move. It made me change from dreading going to the gym by myself to eagerly waiting to go workout with all my buddies everyday. I changed from avoiding carbs to understanding how they fuel our workouts day in and day out. I went from lazily going through the motions at a gym to mentally and physically challenging myself every single day.
On good days and on bad days, I love my body because it's strong and able and it can do nearly everything I ask it to do. I'm passionate about helping others see themselves for what they are; strong, capable, motivating people. I'm passionate about seeing the snatch finally click in someone's brain and then they nail it. I'm passionate about seeing people PR for the first time and for the 20th time. I'm passionate about someone getting their first pull-up and I'm passionate about the person who's been working for months, finally string together some butterfly pull-ups. The best part of CrossFit, to me, is the fact that there is no limit to improving yourself or learning a new skill or fixing a skill that wasn't quite right. For me, it's so easy to be passionate about a thing that truly transforms people right in front of our eyes.
